HYDERABAD: Furthering its moves to sensitise people on HIV/AIDS, the Andhra Pradesh State AIDS Control Society (APSACS) is working on a "business coalition" with the Confederation of Indian Industry to create awareness on HIV/AIDS in the industrial sector. The APSACS and CII inked an MoU on Thursday to fight the epidemic. As part of the MoU, the two agencies will work on sensitising the industry heads on related issues, besides ensuring good health of employees and their families. The understanding envisaged provision of acceptable and accessible quality clinical services which were non-stigmatising and counselling services outside the organisation. In this direction, the two bodies would strive for the adoption of HIV/AIDS workplace policy and form a steering committee to monitor implementation, a press release said.
