NEW DELHI: The power situation in the Capital improved slightly on Friday after two generating units that were lying idle resumed supply to the Northern Grid in the morning. Though during morning and afternoon Delhi Transco Limited had to resort to some load-shedding, the situation in the evening was more or less under control. According to a Delhi Transco spokesperson, load-shedding of 457 MW was done mainly before noon as the peak demand touched 3,494 MW. Delhi's allocation from the Grid remained short by 650 MW, recording an improvement of about 100 MW compared to Thursday's supply. However, Transco managed to get an additional 350 MW supply from Andhra Pradesh.
