Railway adalat

The Waltair Division of East Coast Railway will hold an adalat for pending compassionate appointment cases in Divisional Railway Manager (P) Office here on November 10 from 10.30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Those with grievances over pending appointments may submit applications in detail enclosing relevant documents, said the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager in a press release. The applications should reach the Divisional Personnel Office here on or before October 10. Further details can be had in person or by calling 0891-2842513.

Vrikshamitra award

Indira Priyadarshini Vrikshamitra Award for 2003 will be presented to Chodavaram Forest Range Officer Balivada Dhananjaya Rao at a function to be held on September 15 in New Delhi. A communication to this effect has been sent to him from the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests.

Special buses

The city region of Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation will ply buses as a package for pilgrims who intend attending Cauvery Pushkaram which will be held from September 28 to October 9.

RTC Regional Manager Devarakonda Satyanarayana said that special buses would be run to Srirangapatnam in Karnataka and to Srirangam in Trichy district of Tamil Nadu. Details can be had from the Assistant Traffic Manager at Dwaraka bus station complex (98481-71955) and Depot Manager (98485-49714).
