dated September 12, 1955: Sino-US accord

The Sino-US conference at Geneva on September 10 decided to invite India to help in the voluntary repatriation of Chinese civilians in the US. An agreement on the repatriation of civilians in each other's countries was reached at the 14th meeting between the two delegations. Announcing the details, a communiqué stated that the Indian Embassy in the US may be approached by Chinese civilians if they find any obstruction in their departure.
