Southern Regent triumphs

Hyderabad: Dr. M.A.M. Ramaswamy's Southern Regent (B. Prakash astride) won the President Of India Gold Cup, the feature event of the races held here on Sunday (Sept. 11). Ganapathy trains the winner.

In the President Of India Cup Jockey Suraj Narredu (Adolfito) was fined Rs. 3,000 for shifting in at about 700m and causing interference to Petronius Maximus (Appu) who in turn shifted in onto Regal Revolution (A. Imran Khan) causing the latter severe interference.
