Ghai, Neha get top billing

NEW DELHI: Rajiv Ghai and Neha Agarwal head the men's and women's seeding lists in the Stag Delhi State table tennis tournament to be held at the NDMC Indoor Stadium here from September 12 to 15.

Union Academy wins title

Union Academy retained the title in the D. P. Joshi memorial hockey tournament defeating Guru Harkrishan Public School, Punjabi Bagh, 3-1 in the final at the Shivaji Stadium here.

Sanjay Singh Yadav put Union Academy ahead in the ninth minute from a penalty corner conversion while Hira Singh increased the tally five minutes into the second half.

Twenty minutes before the end Raminder Singh reduced the margin but Union Academy struck again through Sanjay Singh Yadav to settle the issue.

For his brilliant performance, Sanjay Singh Yadav was declared the `man of the tournament' while Satish of Ganga International School was adjudged the best half. Raminder Singh of GHPS was adjudged the best defender while the best goalkeeper's award went to Ajay of Union Academy.
