`Chandramukhi' sunglasses sold for Rs.25,000

CHENNAI:
The online auction of `Chandramukhi' memorabilia, which began on Friday evening, sold the first piece within a few hours.
CHENNAI:
Sivaji Production and Galatta.com along with ebay.in sold the sunglasses worn by superstar Rajnikant to a buyer in France for Rs. 25,000.
CHENNAI:
It was tough luck for director P.Vasu, who bid for it along with the fans of Rajnikant. Sophie Atphthavel of France bought the piece.
CHENNAI:
Girish Ramdass of Galatta.com told The Hindu that all the items came with a certificate of authenticity signed by the film's producers, Sivaji films, as also Galatta.com.
CHENNAI:
The proceeds of the auction will go to the Sivaji Prabhu Charities Trust.
CHENNAI:
And if the winners at the auction or their representative happen to land in Chennai on October 1, they can receive the piece from Rajnikant in the 25th week celebrations of `Chandramukhi'.

The other items in the memorabilia are now on auction.
CHENNAI:
The auctioneers say bids have come from around the globe.

Bidding for the items ranged between Rs.10,000 and 20,000.
