JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government is taking measures for rehabilitation of all oustees of the Bisalpur dam project in Tonk district and would provide basic facilities to all of them. The water from the dam is currently being supplied to Ajmer district for drinking purpose. Stating this at a public function in Chuasala village near Kekri in Ajmer district on Saturday, the Irrigation Minister, Sanwarlal Jat, pointed out that the target had been set for establishing as many as 100 residential colonies for those affected by the dam project. While these colonies would have the facilities for education, medical care and a planned housing, all other difficulties of the oustees would be resolved shortly, said Mr. Jat. He said the work for rehabilitation would take a special care to extend basic facilities to the resettlers. Mr. Jat inaugurated a Government middle school built at a cost of Rs. 5 lakhs in Chausala under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan on the occasion. He said the work for laying steel pipelines for supplying water from Bisalpur to the villages and hamlets in the region would be shortly launched.
