GUNTUR: EID Parry Bio Products Division launched its new product `Abda' - a plant strength regulator for rice, in the Andhra Pradesh market here on Sunday. The EID Parry proposes to take up 60 demonstration plots in East and West Godavari districts to show farmers its efficacy in half-an-acre to one-acre plots, its managing director P. Rama Babu, said before the launch. The company with a Rs. 30-crore turnover target for the current fiscal expects to do a business of Rs. 2 crores in this product alone. The product efficacy trials were successful in 60 demonstration plots in Punjab, 36 in UP, the company vice-president (Bio Products), S. Sivaramakrishna Pillai, said. The company's flagship product Neemazol TS was launched in a new international pack.
