NALCO terms for setting up project

HYDERABAD: The National Aluminium Company (NALCO) has evinced interest in setting up an aluminium project in the State if it is provided an exclusive railway line and power subsidy.

The company also wanted to operate the mines by itself to explore the raw material. But, the State Government was keen that the involvement of the Andhra Pradesh Mineral Development Corporation (APMDC) be there, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of the corporation, V.D. Rajagopal, told a review meeting attended by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy here on Friday.
