BANGALORE: Saturday night had its share of glitz and glamour, as a jewellery major launched its operations in the city with a fashion show. The Kirtilals show had models of the likes of Deepika Padukone, Jackie Shetty, Rachel Bayros, Shwetha Reddy, Shrutha Keerthi, and Pashmina Barker flaunt jewellery of various hues and designs. Hosted by Malaika Arora Khan, each fashion sequence was choreographed by Rahul Dev Shetty. The collection captured the essence of the classic, contemporary and traditional jewellery. The highlight of the evening was the fourth and final fashion sequence, where Malaika herself walked the ramp. Leading to each fashion sequence were contemporary dance performances by the famous city-based dance group, Nrityamtya. The evening also saw a number of Kannada film personalities such as Vishnuvardhan, danseuse Vani Ganapathy, actor Sudeep, the star couple Ambarish and Sumalatha and actress Prema among others. Adorning the models were ornaments such as diamond-studded jewellery, yellow and white gold jewellery. For the record, the jewellery major specialises in exclusive temple jewellery.
