Staff Reporter
BANGALORE:
A three-member gang assaulted and robbed a computer dealer of Rs. 12,000 in cash, a gold ring, and a mobile phone in Sanjayanagar police station limits early on Sunday. According to the police, Sharat M., a resident of Malleswaram, had gone to visit his sister at Kodagehalli.
While returning home Saturday midnight he stopped his car near the University of Agricultural Sciences on Bellary road to answer nature's call. When he returned and was settling in his seat a person sitting in the rear seat threatened him with a knife. Later two others sat in the car and asked Sharat to start the vehicle.
The car was taken around Ramamurthy Nagar and on the Ring Road. The miscreants asked Sharat to stop the car at a place around 5 a.m., assaulted him and relieved him of the cash, the ring and his mobile phone.
Sharat has filed a complaint with the Sanjaynagar police.
