Housing exhibition from Friday

Over 80 companies from across the country to showcase products at the event

GULBARGA: A three-day exhibition of building material, interiors and exteriors and housing finance will be held here from Friday.

The exhibition scheduled to be inaugurated by the Peetadhipathi of Mahadasoha Sharanabasaveshwar Samasthan, Sharanabasavappa Appa, will showcase products ranging from cement, tiles, bath fittings, sanitary fittings, plywood, veneers and water proofing to electrical equipment, air conditioners, cables, doors, plumbing material, water tanks, furniture and home appliances made by leading companies in the country.

Gulbarga Consulting Engineers' and Builders' Association president S.D. Nijguni and Rudramuni Swamy of U.S. Communications, who are cosponsoring the exhibition along with GRASIM Industries (Cement Division), told presspersons here on Tuesday that the exhibition is the first of its kind in Gulbarga.

Mr. Swamy said such exhibitions have been held in 18 towns and cities in the State. More than 80 companies from across the country will put up stalls and also provide technical advise to visitors on the right kind of material to be chosen for constructing the houses. The exhibition will be open from 10.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. Leading architects from the region will also participate in the exhibition.
