Lalu's love for Dalits "motivated"
PATNA:
Terming as ``eyewash'' RJD president Lalu Prasad's assertion that he would take up the issue of reservation for Dalits in the private sector, the Lok Jan Shakti president, Ram Vilas Paswan, on Tuesday said the former's ``love'' for Dalits at the time of polls was a "farce and politically motivated."
"Lalu's love for Dalits is an eyewash," Mr. Paswan told reporters. "His statement is politically-motivated and aimed at garnering the votes of Dalits," he said.``What has he been doing during the past 15 years? Why did he fail to raise the issue of reservation in the private sector? What has compelled him now to talk about the uplift of the Dalits when elections are round-the-corner?" he asked.
