ALAPPUZHA: The Payippad snake boat lead by Sooraj Alex has won the 36th Mannar Mahatma Boat Race held at the river Pamba, at Mannar on Tuesday, said Mannar Abdul Latheef, the patron of the race and KPCC joint secretary. The second prize was bagged by the Alappad snake boat while the Aayaparambu Pandi boat finished third. P.J. Kurien, MP, inaugurated the competitions.
