Hyderabad: The third annual general body meeting of the Trainers Federation of India (TFI) was held in Hyderabad and the following were elected unanimously as office-bearers for the year 2005-2006: Mr. R.R. Byramji (Patron), Mr. Imtiaz A. Sait (President), Messers. B.Puttanna, Vijay Singh, S. Habibullah, K. Ali Khan (all vice-presidents), M.P. Mahesh (Hon. Treasurer), S. Padmanabhan (General Secretary), Messers. D.R. Byramji, Bharat Singh, L.V.R. Deshmukh, and S.P. Singh (all committee members). The meeting passed the following resolutions: Resolved to request the Turf Authorities of India to telecast objections and stewards enquiries live during the races. The TFI decided to request the Turf Authorities of India to nominate an office-bearer of the Trainers Federation of India as a member of the Committee for Pattern Races in India. The meeting has also decided to request the Turf Authorities of India to adopt reporting levels for therapeutic medicines which have already been adopted by the Royal Western India Turf Club Ltd and published in their racing calendar.
