PNB holds retail lending camp

KOCHI:
Punjab National Bank (PNB) conducted a customer relations meet and retail lending camp at Muvattupuzha, near here.
Retail segment loans under various schemes of the bank amounting to Rs.1.15 crores were disbursed at the meet. R.S. Pillai, regional manager, presided over the function. K.M. George , academic, was the chief guest.
The bank's total business has crossed Rs.1,63,000 crores with deposits amounting to more than one lakh crores and advances of Rs.63 crores. The net profit is to the tune of Rs.1,411 crores and the net NPA has come down to less than one per cent, Mr. Pillai claimed.
The bank with a network of more than 4,200 branches has already connected around 1,300 branches under the centralised banking solutions, providing anywhere anytime banking facility to customers. The bank has introduced Vidhyarthi savings fund account for students and is providing free cheque book facility, ATM/Debit card and Internet banking account.
N. Ashokan, manager of Muvattupuzha branch, welcomed the gathering and P.S. Anantha Subramanian, manager, Perumbavoor, proposed a vote of thanks.
