MP, MLA canvass in autorickshaw

KADAPA: Kadapa MP Vivekananda Reddy and Proddatur MLA N. Varadarajulu Reddy canvassed in an autorickshaw in the 40th municipal ward in Proddatur town.

The MP promised to make a honest and sincere party member as Municipal Chairperson and keep dishonest partymen at bay. He claimed development of Proddatur municipality during Congress rule. Proddatur MLA N. Varadarajulu Reddy asserted that he was being elected to Assembly for the last two decades in recognition of his honesty and sincerity in public service. The previous Municipal Chairperson Panyam Savithramma of the TDP lost her post on corruption charges, he recalled.

Ms. Malleswari, wife of Congress leader E.V. Sudhakar Reddy or V.S. Saira Banu, sister-in-law of sitting councillor, V.S. Mukthiar, could be the chairperson nominees, the MLA indicated. Mr. Sudhakar Reddy and Congress leader, Ambati Krishna Reddy, took part.
