Power shutdown in some areas today

Power supply will be affected between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday in Hall Road, Richmond Road, Viviani Road, Davis Road and surrounding areas, according to the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company.

Postgraduate examination results

The results of the second and fourth semester examinations of the postgraduate courses of M.Com and MFA of Bangalore University have been announced. The students can contact their departments or colleges for the results. The results of the second and fourth semester MTA examinations will be announced on September 15.

Training programme in Janur art

The Mysore Horticultural Society will conduct a five-day training programme on Janur art from September 19 at 3 p.m. at Dr. M.H. Mari Gowda Memorial Hall in Lalbagh. For more information, call the secretary of the Society on Ph. 26576781, a release said.

Yoga, nature cure camp

Sri Jayachamarajendra Government Hospital will organise a one-month special treatment camp from September 15 for asthma, allergic rhinitis, common cold, diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity and other ailments. Yoga and nature cure treatment will be available at the camp. Classes will be conducted from 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. Patients could register their names in the Yoga department of the hospital from 9 a.m. to noon.

Short-term financing courses

The State Government has permitted PU colleges in the State to start 3/4 month short-term self-financing courses to help candidates get selected to the non-commissioned posts in the Indian Army. Principals of government and recognised private PU colleges could approach the Directorate of Vocational Education with the necessary documents in support of the available infrastructure in the institution.
