HYDERABAD: A dance director and an assistant cameraman disappeared under mysterious circumstances when they went to examine a tank for shooting a film sequence at Shamshiguda village in Kukatpally on Tuesday afternoon. Fearing that dance director Joginder Singh alias Babloo, 32, and assistant cameraman Shashidhar, 25, drowned accidentally, the Kukatpally police searched the tank with the help of villagers till late in the night. However, they could retrieve only Singh's cap from the water strengthening suspicions of the duo getting drowned. Sixteen members of the unit were shooting for Telugu film `Sambhavami Yuge Yuge' at the village. While others were busy selecting the locations and shooting some scenes, Singh and Shashidhar drove to the tank on a motorcycle an hour later.
Case of missing booked
As the duo failed to turn up even after lunch hour, the film unit smelt rat and began searching the area. Later in the evening, the unit director informed the Kukatpally police about the disappearance of the duo. A case of missing men was booked. Search operations will continue on Wednesday.
