VIJAYAWADA: Five new faces have been introduced to voters by Congress leaders in five divisions in Patamata, Autonagar and several residential colonies around these areas. Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal and Kankipadu MLA Devineni Rajasekhar campaigned for Vallabhaneni Lakshmi (8th division), Borra Jayasri (9th division), Vadde Balarama Krishnaiah (10th division) Ramayanapu Srinivas (11th division) and Nadakuduti Subba Raju (12th division). The leaders covered in road show in Patamata, Autonagar, Bapujinagar, J.D.Nagar, area, Patamata ZP High School and NSM Public School Road.
Election office opened
Earlier, Mr. Rajagopal inaugurated the election office of Balarama Krishnaiah. The Gannavaram MLA, Mudraboiyana Venkateswara Rao and VGTM UDA chairman, Malladi Vishnu, campaigned along with the MP and MLA. In division 10, the MP spoke to the party rebel candidate, Kareemulla, and heads of the Muslim community. He convinced the rebel candidate to drop out of the race and extend his support to the Congress party. Vijayawada East MLA Vangaveeti Radhakrishna also introduced two new faces - Afreen Sultana (20th division) and Pilli Lakshmi Tulasi (45th division). The MLA said that the Congress campaign had been reorganised with groups covering different areas.
