Newly posted DCPs take charge

BANGALORE: The newly posted Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) of South, East and North Divisions took charge on Monday.

Alok Kumar took over as the DCP (South) from Ramasubba, who has been posted as DCP (City Armed Reserve Headquarters). Muniswamy took over as DCP (North) from Syed Ulfath Hussain, who has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Kolar district.

Bijay Kumar Singh assumed charge as DCP (East). The post of the DCP (East) was vacant for nearly two months and the DCP (VIP Security), Ramesh, was in-charge of the East division.

Meanwhile, Inspector-General of Police M.N. Reddi took over as the Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic and Security) from K.V. Ravindranath Tagore, who has been posted as Commissioner for Information.
