DEO criticised

CHITTOOR: Members of the Zilla Parishad at the general body meeting held here on Wednesday criticised the District Education Officer, Ramalingam, for his scant respect towards people's representatives.

Zilla Parishad Chairperson M. Reddyamma presided over the meeting and the district Collector S.S. Rawat and chief executive officer Veerabhadraiah were present.

ZPTC members Ramulu, Gowri Shankar Reddy, Venugopal Reddy and Chandrasekhar Reddy, lambasted the DEO for his indifferent attitude towards people's representatives and his `partiality' in sanctioning the construction of school buildings and in the appointment of teachers under the rationalisation scheme. Some complained that money was not paid for works executed.
