Kochi
Thripunithura, the seat of erstwhile Cochin State, seems to be losing its charm with the mushrooming of apartment complexes all over the town. Once dotted with ancient structures, the town is slowly becoming a concrete jungle. In fact, the elections to the local bodies are the right time to ponder over these issues and suggest solutions. Political parties are of unanimous opinion that the main problems faced by the town are drinking water supply and garbage disposal. Although a water tank has been constructed many years ago, it still remain non-functional .Yet another major issue to be tackled is narrow roads.
