EU, U.S. toast wine trade agreement

BRUSSELS: The European Union and the United States lifted glasses on Thursday to an agreement over their $2.8 billion ($2.3 billion euro) annual wine trade.

The agreement, which came after 20 years of off-and-on negotiations, addresses on the one hand labelling issues dear to Europeans and recognition of U.S. wine-making practices on the other.
