New health drink launched

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: What holds you up at the end of the day? The skeletal system, according to Britannia New Zealand head Anupam Dutta at the Chennai launch of the company's `food drink' Anlene.

Anlene gives you all the calcium you need, especially to women who are prone to osteoporosis, he says.

Brand ambassador and danseuse Mallika Sarabhai who participated in the event at Hotel Chola Sheraton, agreed.

"We've been keeping women's health issues under the carpet for too long," said Ms. Sarabhai, the activist-artist.

Even women refuse to acknowledge brittle bones or health problems in the wake of menopause.

"Work goes on"

The director of Ahmedabad-based Darpana Academy for Fine Arts said she was in for the long haul, whether it was women's health, communal violence or human trafficking allegations that started in the aftermath of her comments about the Godhra carnage. "Work goes on," she added.
