KHAMMAM: The Minister for Municipal administration, Koneru Ranga Rao, on Thursday sounded a warning to rebel candidates out to scuttle the chances of official nominees in different wards of Khammam municipality. Talking to media persons he said, the rebel candidates would be requested to retire from the contest. If they failed to oblige, the APCC would take necessary action against them. He said there nothing to be worried about the rebel problem and claimed that voters were very much with the Congress party. The Minister said Khammam could be upgraded into a corporation. It was not considered so far as the Government did not receive any proposal in this regard.
