PMK protests move to change Standard XII examination
Special Correspondent
CHENNAI:
The Pattali Makkal Katchi on Thursday staged a demonstration in the city to protest the State Government's move to change the existing system of public examination for the Standard XII.
According to the party, the proposed introduction would only benefit students belonging to the affluent sections and who were now studying in private schools. It would go against the rural students and those in government and government-controlled schools who were hit by shortage of teachers and infrastructure.
Held as part of a Statewide agitation, the demonstration was led by A.K. Moorthy, MP.
