Sleuths rewarded for special work

GOLDEN HANDSHAKE: K.V.S. Murthy, Additional Director-General of Police (Law and Order), gave away cash prizes to police personnel for their good work in special operations.

MADURAI: Police personnel involved in special operations that led to the arrest of notorious criminals were rewarded during the Additional Director-General of Police (Law and Order), K.V.S. Murthy's visit to Madurai last week.

At least 100 policemen from Madurai city, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Theni and Dindigul districts were given cash prizes for their good work. These sleuths had apprehended criminals involved in grave offences. The Inspector-General of Police, Jalad K. Tripathy; the Commissioner of Police, Vijay Kumar; and the DIG (Madurai Range), Karuna Sagar; were present.
