CET casual vacancy round today

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell will commence the casual vacancy round on Friday for Engineering and Technology courses for Physically Disabled, NCC and Sports Special Category candidates.

Seven seats are available for selection for Physically Disabled category candidates (starting at 10 a.m.); 20 seats for NCC candidates (12.30 p.m.); and 16 seats for Sports candidates (3 p.m.).

Transferred

The Cell has transferred to the college managements the 257 dental seats that remained unfilled even after the completion of the Casual Vacancy Round seat selection process.

The seats were given to the managements under the CET Rule 18, at a reconciliation meeting on Thursday, the Cell officials said.

Meanwhile, government quota candidates who are refused admission by the medical, dental colleges or the institutions offering Indian System of Medicine (ISM) courses have a new process opened to register their complaints.

They could lodge complaints with the CET Cell.
