Forest clearance for Devadula

HYDERABAD: The much-awaited forest clearance for Devaduala project, now named Chokka Rao project, was received from the Centre on Thursday. The Union Ministry of Environment and Forests cleared the decks for laying pipelines across 344 hectares of forest in Warangal and Karimnagar districts as part of the irrigation scheme, which will lift 50 tmcft of waters from the Godavari.
