BRIDGETOWN (Barbados): India and Zimbabwe will tour the West Indies next year. India will arrive in the Caribbean on May 15 for four Tests and five One-Day Internationals. A historic first-ever Test will be played on the island of St. Kitts from June 22 to 26. It will be India's ninth tour of the Caribbean, having won only one series in the islands, in 1970-71. India has won only three of 38 Tests there. Zimbabwe, which reaches before India, plays two Tests and five one-dayers from April 12 to May 15. The first Test begins in Guyana on April 20 and the second from April 28 in Trinidad. Zimbabwe hasn't visited the Caribbean since 1999-2000 and hasn't won a Test against the West Indies. No matches will be held at the Kensington Oval in Barbados due to renovations for the 2007 World Cup. The venue, West Indies' most famous ground, has staged matches every year since 1930. India's schedule: One-dayers: First ODI: May 20, Jamaica; Second ODI: May 21, Jamaica; Third ODI: May 24, St. Kitts; Fourth ODI: May 27, Trinidad; Fifth ODI: May 28, Trinidad. Tests: First Test: June 1 to 5, Antigua; Second Test: June 9 to 13, St. Lucia; Third Test: June 22 to 26, St. Kitts; Fourth Test: June 30 to July 4, Jamaica. Agencies
