To read and understand the mind of MLAs and act accordingly to ensure that the proceedings of the Assembly are run smoothly. Listening to eminent scientists talking about various applications of GPS and GIS including the way it was used to the understand what lay beneath the ground at different points before the tunnel work for Delhi's Metro Rail was taken up, Mr. Reddy in a lighter vein enquired about some technology to map the minds. At the inauguration of National Conference on Space Science & Technology for Geographical Research and Applications here on Friday, the Speaker had the gathering in peals of laughter when he said, "I wish if there was such technology to help me understand what goes in the mind of my members." Later, Mr. Reddy said the Government was keen on utilising the services of science fraternity in various aspects including in committees meant for protection of environment and wildlife. In his address, Chairman of New Delhi-based Bhoovigyan Vikas Foundation, K.V.Sundaram took a close look at the land use practises and said, "the maladjustment between human society and environment is the greatest scourge of our new millennium."
