THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Ganesholsav, being organised by Shiv Sena and the Sri Ganesholsav Trust, concludes on Sunday with Nimanjan, when Ganesha idols will be carried in a procession to be immersed in the sea. The procession will begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday from the Hanuman Temple at Palayam and conclude at Shanghumughom beach at 6 p.m. The chief priest of Sabarimala Kantaru Maheshwararu will be the chief guest on the occasion. Ganesha idols in 32 `avatars' from 1,008 temples in the district will take part in the procession. Panchavadyam, traditional temple arts and folk art forms will be part of the procession. A change in the route of the procession has been proposed in the light of the traffic restrictions being imposed due to the visit of the Vice President to the capital. The procession will start at Palayam and proceed via Statue, Pazhavangadi, East Fort, Vettimuricha Kotta, West Fort, Eenchakkal, Chakka, All Saints' College to Shanghumughom beach.
