East Bengal keeps winning

KOLKATA: Kingfisher East Bengal notched up its third consecutive win beating Mohammedan Sporting 3-0 in a premier division match of the Calcutta Football League here at the Salt Lake Stadium on Saturday.

East Bengal struck once in the first session through Arun Malhotra, who scored the opener in the fifth minute.

East Bengal played best in the second session with Alvito D'Cunha increasing the cushion in the 53rd minute. Striker Syed Rahim Nabi rounded off the scoring in the 68th minute. The win helped East Bengal tally 25 points from 11 matches. — Sports Reporter
