BANGALORE: A 20-year-old LLB student was found murdered in her house in Madivala police station limits on Saturday. Preliminary investigations revealed that Suguna was murdered by her neighbour as she refused to have an affair with him, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Alok Kumar told The Hindu. Mr. Kumar said Suguna was a third year student of a private law college at Tilaknagar. Suguna, a native of Krishnagiri district in Tamil Nadu, was living in a single-room house at Bommanahalli with her father and brother. Suguna and her brother worked as part-time salespersons at a super market in BTM Layout. Around 1.30 p.m. Suguna's brother came home and found her lying dead. She had been hit on the head with a sharp weapon, and she had also suffered bruises on her neck, Mr. Kumar said. A ballpoint pen was found near her body and it was identified as that of her neighbour, who used to allegedly pester her to have an affair with him. The neighbour's brother said that the pen belonged to his sibling, Mr. Kumar said. The Madivala police have registered a case of murder and are on the lookout for the suspect. Commissioner of Police Ajai Kumar Singh, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) M.C. Narayana Gowda, along with Mr. Kumar, visited the scene of crime.
