Three injured during idol immersion

A devotee, Ramesh (22) fractured his leg when the auto-trolley in which he was returning home after immersing the Ganesh idol in Hussainsagar overturned near Lower Tank Bund on Saturday night. Two other women Beeramma and Amruthamma travelling in the vehicle also sustained injuries, the Gandhinagar police said. All the injured were residents of Amberpet.

Temples desecrated

Unidentified persons desecrated a roadside temple at Rathifile bus station in Secunderabad and broke the statue of goddess Durga in a temple near Bhoiguda on Saturday. The Gopalapuram ACP Mohd. Tajuddin said the police received a tip that one mentally deranged person was behind the two offences.
