Police save woman's life

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Timely help from the Hyderabad police saved the life of a woman patient who got stranded in a traffic snarl due to Ganesh idol immersion on Saturday. Anjana, 50, of Isamia Bazar, suffered a heart attack around 10.30 p.m. Her family members were shifting her to Care Hospital when they got stranded near M.J. Market.

As the patient's condition was deteriorating, the family members rushed to the Hyderabad Police Commissioner V. Dinesh Reddy, monitoring bandobust arrangements and explained the problem. On his instructions, the Additional Commissioner (Crimes) Rajiv Trivedi and about 30 constables swung into action, stopped the procession for a few minutes and shifted her to the hospital. Ms. Anjana was said to be out of danger.
