APSTDC plans more packages

    VISAKHAPATNAM: The Andhra Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (APSTDC) is introducing new city tour packages from September 22.

    The four package tours include two half-a-day tours meant for tourists who could spare only a few hours in a day, according to its Divisional Manager Jeevan Prasad.

    In the leisure tour, starting at 10 a.m. and concluding at 8 p.m., the tourists would enjoy a boat-ride in the seas off the Fishing Harbour and visit MGM Park, Zoo Park, Kailasagiri and CMR Shopping Mall.

    The tariff, including lunch and entry tickets, is Rs. 320 (Rs.255 for a child). CMR would give a 5 per cent discount to the tourists on purchase of goods.

    Heritage tour

    In the heritage tour, starting at 10 a.m. and concluding at 5 p.m., tourists would visit Simhachalam, Thotlakonda, Bhimili, Hermit Dibbalu, Rushikonda beach, Visakha Museum, Submarine Museum and Lepakshi Emporium.

    The tariff, including lunch and entry tickets, is fixed at Rs.235 (Rs. 190 for child). A 10 per cent discount will be given by the Lepakshi Emporium for the tourists of this tour.

    In the half-day-tours, the first one (from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.) will cover Simhachalam, boat-ride in sea off Fishing Harbour, Mastyadarshini, Kali temple and Visakha Museum. The tariff will be Rs.180 (Rs.145 for a child).

    The second half-day-tour will commence at 2 p.m. and conclude at 8 p.m. The tourists will be taken to Zoo Park, Rushikonda beach, Kailasagiri, Submarine Museum, MGM Park and RK Beach.

    Tour attractions

    However, the attractions in this tour are a ride on the toy train and going to the Kailasagiri by the ropeway. The tariff is fixed at Rs. 190 (Rs.150 for a child).

    Reservations for the tours could be made at the Central Reservation Office at the RTC Complex (2746446) and Information and Reservation Offices at NAD junction (2767818/19) and old Gajuwaka junction (2767242/43).
