Narayana Kumar is dead

G. Narayana Kumar
BANGALORE:
G. Narayana Kumar, leader of one of the factions of the Kannada Chaluvaligars, passed away here on Sunday. He was 63 and is survived by wife, son and two daughters.
Mr. Narayana Kumar was a former member of the Legislative Assembly. He had been elected on the Janata Party ticket in 1983 and 1985 from the Binnypet constituency in Bangalore. He was a member of the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike Council from 1970 to 1974.
Mr. Narayana Kumar was active in the Kannada movement for the last 35 years and had his ups and downs. He was an associate of Kannada Chaluvaligar MLA Vatal Nagaraj but fell out with him. Chief Minister N. Dharam Singh, KPCC President M. Mallikarjun Kharge, who is touring Japan, and H.N. Ananth Kumar, MP, have mourned Mr. Narayana Kumar's death.
