ANANTAPUR: Several trains will be either cancelled or diverted from September 20 to 27 due to the doubling work to be taken up in Guntakal railway yard and on the Guntakal-Bellary section. While trains on the Guntakal-Bellary section have been cancelled, those running via Guntakal will be diverted. According to Senior Divisional Operations Manager (Guntakal) B. Nagya and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Guntakal) K.R.K. Reddy trains, which have been cancelled are No. 527/528 Raichur-Guntakal and Guntakal-Raichur passenger train, No. 567/522 Dronachalam-Guntakal and Guntakal-Dronachalam passenger, No. 251/252 Chitradurg-Bellary and Bellary-Chitradurg passenger and No. 253/254 Guntakal-Bellary and Bellary-Guntakal passenger trains. A few trains running through Guntakal have been diverted to Gooty-R.S.Pendekal-Dronachalam line. They include No. 8564/8563 Bangalore-Visakhapatnam and Visakhapatnam-Bangalore Prashanti Express, No. 7604/7603 Yeshwantpur-Kacheguda and Kacheguda-Yeshwatpur Prashanti Nilayam Express and No. 9775/9776 Bangalore-Jaipur and Jaipur Bangalore Jaipur Express. Besides, No. 433/434 Bangalore-Guntur and Guntur-Bangalore passenger train has also been diverted to run on Gooty-R.S.Pendekal-Dronachalam line instead of touching Guntakal. All the trains will run on their original route immediately after the completion of doubling work.
