Adarsh and Anju clinch titles

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: P. Adarsh and Anju K. Thomas won the men's and women's singles titles respectively in the N. Krishnamurthy memorial table tennis tournament at the indoor stadium, Agriculture College here on Sunday.

The results (singles):

Men (final): P. Adarsh (Tvm) bt C.J. Balaji (CAP) 11-7, 9-11, 11-5, 11-8, 11-8. Semifinals: P. Adarsh (Tvm) bt M.R. Rajeev (Tsr) 6-11, 11-9, 5-11, 11-7, 6-11, 11-9, 13-11; C.J. Balaji (CAP) bt Manoj Varghese (CPT) 11-6, 11-7, 11-2, 4-2 conceded.

Junior boys (final): Naveen Kurien (Wyd) bt Shyam Narayan (AYT) 10-12, 11-6, 17-15, 3-11, 12-10. Semifinals: Shyam Narayanan (AYT) bt Angelo Porathur (Tsr) 12-10, 13-11, 11-8, 11-8; Naveen Kurien (Wyd) bt S. Sreekanth (Tvm) 9-11, 11-3, 11-4, 13-11, 4-11, 11-7.

Mini Cadet boys (final): Unni Krishnan (Tvm) bt Renjith Benny (Tvm) 11-6, 11-3, 3-11, 11-9.
