Benazir appears in court

GENEVA: The former Pakistani Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto, attended a court here to answer questions on allegations she had used Swiss banks to launder millions of dollars in kickbacks, the investigating magistrate said on Tuesday. Ms. Bhutto appeared at Geneva's Palais de Justice on Monday to answer questions relating to a charge from July 2004, said judge Vincent Fournier. ``I can confirm that Mrs. Bhutto was here,'' Mr. Fournier told The Associated Press. ``It was a very long meeting, it ended about 20:15 pm local time (2345 IST on Monday).'' Mr. Fournier said ``it is expected'' that Ms. Bhutto would come back to Geneva for another meeting but was unable to give a date. — AP
