Avoid personal attacks, Congress leaders told

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: : All-India Congress Committee secretary K. Jayakumar has appealed to party leaders and cadres in Tamil Nadu to refrain from personal attacks, saying these would tarnish the party's image.

On Tuesday, Mr. Jayakumar, who is also treasurer of the Congress Legislature Party, said when the Assembly elections were approaching, statements attacking party leaders would confuse cadres. The leaders should strive to work together to strengthen the party.
