Abducted boy rescued
On Monday, the Police Control Room (PCR) received a call by Kedarnath, a resident of Lado Sarai, alleging that his son, Tushaar, had gone missing. Subsequently, a police team initiated a probe into the matter. Around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, the kidnapper called up at a public booth opposite Kedarnath's house and left a message for him saying he would call up again after a while. The kidnapper called up again and demanded Rs. 60,000 as ransom. The police traced the call to a telephone booth at Vikaspuri. The police raided the place and arrested one Ashok, at whose instance the boy was rescued.
Alleged suicide
According to the police, Sunil Kumar, a resident of Vijay Enclave in Dabri, was found hanging by his son around 3-30 p.m. No suicide note was recovered from the spot. The police said Sunil, a carpenter, was alone in the house when he hanged himself. While his son had gone to school, his wife was away at the beauty parlour where she worked.
Bootleggers nabbed
The accused, Bhura and Raju Tyagi, were arrested while they were transporting the consignment from Haryana in their Santro car.
Two arrested
Acting on a tip-off that Badshah would come to Nandnagri, the police laid a trap and arrested them. During interrogation, he allegedly confessed to their involvement in burglary cases. At his instance, the police arrested his accomplice, Aminuddin.
