HYDERABAD: Arjuna awardee C.S. Pradipak has been invited as an international judge for the 2005 International Federation for Disabled Sailing (IFDS) single person Dinghy world championship at San Felice Circeo, Italy from October 1 to 10. The 10-day meet will be sailed in the Mediterranean Sea in the Access Liberty in two categories, viz. handicapped and able-bodied sailors, with the former allowed to compete against the latter for the Sabaudia Cup. The event is held under the auspices of the Italian chapter of Sailability, a world-wide movement aimed at enabling disabled sailors enjoy the pleasures of the sport, while actively competing and improving self-esteem. San Felice Circeo is a historical town situated close to Rome. Pradipak, an International Juror (IJ) with the International Sailing Federation (ISAF), leaves Hyderabad on September 29 for Frankfurt and from there will proceed to Rome.
