Lifer for three in abduction case

NEW DELHI: Three persons were today sentenced to life imprisonment by a Delhi court today for kidnapping a four-year-old boy for ransom of Rs 3 lakhs, five years ago.

Additional Session Judge V P Vaish found Hazari, Bhajan Lal and Hansraj guilty of kidnapping Abhishek for a ransom of Rs 3 lakhs in the Nizamuddin area of central Delhi.

The incident occured on May 29, 2000 when young Abhishek was playing outside his house and went missing. The convict Hazari used to look after the buffaloes of Rakesh, the boys father.
