Admission into private law colleges from October 1

Counselling for courses of ANGRAU postponed

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education Secretary M.D. Christopher has said that admissions into law courses offered by private unaided law colleges for the academic year 2005-06 will be held at the university level from October 1.

The counselling and admissions will be based on the merit at Lawcet-2005. The specific date and time of counselling will be informed to the candidates through individual letters.

Students who have not exercised the option to the Convenor can also attend the counselling on the dates specified below.

Candidates attending the counselling will have to pay a counselling fee of Rs. 200 for OC and BC categories and Rs. 100 for SC/ST categories.

Engineering courses

Counselling for Sports Category seats of the engineering courses, to be held on September 22 has been postponed to September 30 in view of heavy rains in the State, according to a press release.

The last date for receipt of applications for P.G. courses in Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University has been extended to September 24 in view of dislocation of rail and bus services due to rains, according to a press release.

Counselling postponed

The second counselling for admission into various U.G. courses of Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), to be held from September 21 has been postponed to first week of October due to heavy rains.
