Man held, cartridges seized

MANGALORE: The District Crime Intelligence Bureau personnel on Tuesday arrested a man under the Explosives Act for illegally possessing explosives here. The accused has been identified as Kuriakose alias Babu of Ernakulam, at present residing in Chikmagalur. The police have recovered three cartridges, 600 grams of gunpowder and 20 grams of potash.

Theft

Thieves have gained entry to the house of E.C. Misquith near Valencia Church and decamped with cash and other household items. The police said Mr. Misquith, the complainant, had kept the house under lock for the past three months as he was away in Bangalore. The theft came to light when Mr. Misquith returned home on Tuesday.

Raid

The police on Tuesday raided various videogames centre in Farangipete and arrested seven persons in this connection. They seized seven computers, cash and other property from the accused.
