Hindi Saptah off
The concluding function of Hindi Week celebrations that was scheduled for Thursday has been cancelled in view of the rain havoc, Head of the Hindi Department Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad told reporters on Wednesday. He said that the decision was taken on the advice of Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines Dasari Narayana Rao, who was to have participated as chief guest at the function. Replying to a question, Dr. Lakshmi Prasad dispelled speculations that he was planning to join the Congress, saying that he was content with his activities in the educational and cultural spheres after re-joining the university.
